Friends Tournament 2022

The annual Wacky Women Friends Tournament was held at Settlers Bay Golf Course in Wasilla on August 6. We had 60 golfers. This tournament is for Wacky Women and their friends (spouses, family, friends) to play together in a best ball format.

The top two all-women teams and the top two mixed teams won prizes along with closest to the pin and longest drive. The tournament included a delicious banquet and lots of raffle items.

Despite the overcast day, it was a fun day.

The winners were:

  • 1st Place All Women’s Team – Four $50 AGC Gift Cards – With a score of 66, Linda Pease, Julie Adolf, Wynd Counts, Betty Brady
  • 1st Place Mixed Team – Four $50 AGC Gift Cards – With a score of 55, Debbie Steen, Teri Holmes, Tabatha Bensel, Dennis Bensel
  • 2nd Place All Women’s Team – Four $25 Settlers Bay Gift Cards – With a score of 69, Vickie Paddock, Leslie Swain, Stacy Baldwin, Lindsey Beckstead
  • 2nd Place Mixed Team – Four $25 Settlers Bay Gift Cards – With a score of 65, Shelby Davison, Bruce Davison, Annette Swanson, Stacey Mitchell
  • Women’s Closest to the Pin – $50 cash prize – Julie Adolf
  • Men’s Closest to the Pin – $50 cash prize – Terry Holm
  • Women’s longest drive – $50 cash prize – Lindsey Beckstead
  • Min’s longest drive – $50 cash prize – Melvin Perkins
  • Red Lantern Award with a score of 79 – Mardy Lower, Connie Chevalier, Tonette Shears, Kathy Lum. –

Due to the chilly weather and 70% chance of rain in the afternoon we decided to warm up our players by eating indoors.  We are sorry that we have difficulty announcing our winners & prizes due to room separation.
